CLASS 4A SECTIONAL FINALS

GUILFORD

DeKalb 3, Cary-Grove 0: Winning pitcher Katie Kowalski allowed three hits and struck out four in a complete-game effort. Dani Thibault went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored for the Barbs.

SCHAUMBURG

St. Charles North 3, Elk Grove 1, 8 inn.: Amanda Ciran (22-1) notched the complete-game victory giving up five hits and striking out six. Ashley Seering had two hits and two RBI while Taylor Russell homered for the North Stars (30-3)

CLASS 3A SECTIONAL FINALS

GRAYSLAKE CENTRAL

Marengo 7, Grayslake North 0: Chloe Montgomery threw a complete-game two-hitter and fanned six to earn the win. Lauren Roudabush was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs and Stephanie Cartwright went 1-for-4 with two RBI and two runs to pace the Marengo offense, which scored six runs over the first two innings.

ROCHELLE

Sycamore 3, Belvidere North 1: Abby Foulle went the distance and struck out 10 to pick up the victory for Sycamore.

ST. FRANCIS

Glenbard South 7, Nazareth 0: Olivia Ramirez (2-for-3, two RBI) and Hannah Davey (2-for-3, RBI) led the Raiders to victory. Jennifer Wittenberg and Danielle Chitkowski each added two hits and an RBI. Jessica Wilkes threw a complete game and scattered six hits.
