CLASS 4A

Reavis 6, Argo 2: Meghan Higgins scattered six hits, while striking out seven over seven innings as the host Rams advanced to the regional final. Higgins (1-for-2) helped her own cause with a double and an RBI, and Ally Balandis (1-for-2) drove in three runs.

Warren 4, Rolling Meadows 2: Megan Sowa went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, and Jessica Demski allowed no earned runs over seven innings for the Blue Devils (21-12) in a Palatine Regional semifinal.

CLASS 3A

Queen of Peace 19, Cristo Rey 1: Kristi Gierman, Steph Rich and Kaylynn Yerkes each hit a home run in the host Pride’s regional semifinal rout.

Sandwich 6, Rosary 3: Jordan Johnson went 2-for-3, and Morgan Murphy (two strikeouts, three walks) earned the complete-game victory as the Indians advanced to the Yorkville Regional final.

CLASS 2A

Lisle 7, Woodlands 2: Bekka Houda (19-2) struck out 16 in a complete-game, one-hitter to lead the host Lions (26-4) to the sectional final.
