CLASS 4A REGIONAL SEMIFINALS

HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR

Homewood-Flossmoor 8, Lincoln-Way North 6: Haley Gibbons was 3-for-4 with four RBI to lead Homewood-Flossmoor (18-14), while Jessica Taylor, Sarah Burke, Jocelyn Velazquez were all 2-for-4.

ANDREW

Sandburg 11, Shepard 3: Amanda Barna struck out 12 and gave up five hits in the win for Sandburg (20-15). Ellie Forkin powered the offense going 4-for-5 with one home run and six RBI.

REAVIS

Marist 10, T.F. South 0: Audra Hecker had four strikeouts in five innings pitched for Marist (15-21).

ST. IGNATIUS

Trinity 13, Proviso West 0: Nicole Lavar hit a grand slam and Monica Garcia was 2-for-3 with three RBI in the rout for No. 16 Trinity.

MORTON

Young 6, Morton 5: Zoe Nykoza hit a two-run homer in the win for Young.

FENWICK

Lane 11, Lincoln Park 0: Kaleigh Ambrose (15-6) had eight strikeouts and gave up two hits in a complete game for Lane (25-11). Emily Espinosa was 2-for-3 with five RBI.

WARREN

McHenry 2, Zion-Benton 1: Kristin Koepke had seven strikeouts and gave up six hits in a complete game for McHenry. Danielle Walsh scored the game-winning run.

GENEVA

West Chicago 6, Downers South 3: Katie West was the winning pitcher and Jessica Wood had three hits and two RBI to lead West Chicago.

MAINE SOUTH

Loyola 7, Niles West 0: Nina Puch was 3-for-3 with one triple and three runs scored for Loyola (21-7).

NILES NORTH

Niles North 11, Stevenson 3: Jess Loy was the winning pitcher for Niles North. Jackie Lockhner was 3-for-4 with one double and Brittany Reilly had four RBI.

PLAINFIELD SOUTH

Neuqua Valley 7, Plainfield South 2: Jamie O'Brien (2-for-4, one RBI) and Brooke Meyer (2-for-4, one double, one RBI) led the way for Neuqua Valley.

METEA VALLEY

Waubonsie Valley 6, Metea Valley 0: Shannon Hohman earned the win for Waubonsie Valley, and Jessica Sarch (2-for-4) and Amanda Minahan (1-for-3, two RBI) charged the offense.

CLASS 3A REGIONAL SEMIFINALS

ANTIOCH

Lakes 5, Antioch 4: Jamie Dykstra hit one home run in the win for Lakes.

LEMONT

Providence 10, Lincoln-Way West 0: Allie Strick (15-4) struck out eight in a complete game for Providence (24-12). Amanda Wilson (3-for-4, three RBI) and Ellie Bartosz (2-for-3, two doubles, one RBI) helped charge the offense.

MARIAN CATHOLIC

Tinley Park 10, Rich Central 0: Cosette Tomita was perfect through five innings of pitching (no hits, no runs) in the win for Tinley Park. Alyssa Gunther, Liz Brezenski and Amber Buss all had two hits and two runs scored to lead a balanced offensive attack.

GUERIN

Payton 16, Muchin 1: Maya Rodriguez struck out 12 and gave up just one run in the win for Payton.

NAZARETH

Nazareth 10, Morgan Park 0: Catherine Usher had 12 strikeouts in the win for Nazareth. She also had two home runs and five RBI, while Colleen McGivney had one home run and three RBI to carry the offense.

MONTINI

Montini 10, Brooks 0: Shaylee Lewis was 3-for-3 with two doubles and Emily Barg was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and four RBI to lead Montini (22-14).

RIVERSIDE-BROOKFIELD

Kennedy 13, King 0: Nicole Radtke (8-4) had seven strikeouts and gave up two hits in the win for Kennedy (16-5). Emma Calvo was 1-for-2 with one double and three RBI.
