Brooks 17, Hubbard 1: Krystal Vazquez had 13 strikeouts from the circle and went 3-for-4 at the plate to power the Eagles (2-0) past the Greyhounds. Mari Hooper added the offense for Brooks (4-for-4) with a triple and seven RBI.

Evergreen Park 6, Bremen 5: Michelle Putlak (14 strikeouts) pitched a complete game and drove in two runs as the Mustangs (4-0, 3-0 South Suburban Red) edged the Braves. Kelsey Christopher (2-for-4, 2 R) and Carolyn Roberts (2-for-4, RBI) each did damage from the plate for Evergreen Park.

Fremd 3, New Trier 2: Brittany Ciura produced all three runs in No.12 Vikings victory with a three-run home run.

Glenbard North 6, St. Charles East 1: Lindsey Cherry gave up four hits and struck out six for the complete-game victory.

Homewood-Flossmoor 10, Munster (Ind.) 1: Angela Roberts (4-for-4) was the offensive standout for the Vikings with three RBI.

Illiana Christian 4, Stagg 3: Holly Zuidema struck out two and went the distance in the circle for the Vikings (3-4).

Lane 12, St. Ignatius 8: Allysa Santana smashed a two-run homer and Emily Espinosa (2-for-4) drove in four in the No. 21 Indians (2-1) victory.

Niles North 6, St. Viator 2: Jackie Lochner (2-for-4) got the win on the mound and Kristin Reichert provided some offensive power with a three-run home run for the Vikings.

Queen of Peace 5, Regina 1: Casey Kodatt smacked two triples and drove in two runs to lead the Pride (1-1).

St. Francis de Sales 20, Holy Trinity 3: Taisha Harris swiped five bags and scored twice as the Pioneers (4-3) won easily.

Shepard 20, T.F. North 0: Melissa Kelly struck out six from the circle and had three RBI at the plate as the Astros cruised.

Tinley Park 11, Argo 1: Alyssa Williams (2-for-4) had a triple and a double, and Cosette Tomita added two doubles in the Titans (5-2) win.

Yorkville 11, Plano 1: Rachel Owens struck out eight batters over five innings and gave up an unearned run for the Foxes. Lindsay Kring (3-for-3) had two doubles and four RBI to lead Yorkville at the plate.
