TJ Shirley memorial service set at Thornridge

A memorial service commemorating the life of T.J. Shirley will be held at 1 p.m. May 19 at Thornridge High School, 15000 Cottage Grove Ave.

Shirley, Thornridge’s athletic director since 2007 and its boys track coach for 26 years, was found dead Sunday in his Lansing home. He was 53.

The memorial will be held in the Thornridge Auditorium. A private funeral service will be held in Shirley’s home town of Fennimore, Wis.
