Schaumburg 3, Elk Grove 2, 2 OT: Kelsey Steenstrup scored the game-winner in double overtime on an assist by Teagan Eberle for the No. 13 Saxons. Amanda Kelly's second half score forced the overtime sessions. Eberle ended up with two assists. Becky Sneddon also scored for the Saxons. Nikki Zaino and Kelli Hubly scored the Grenadiers.

Young 2, Bloomington 0: Esme Kline and Sara Rodriguez each scored a goal and star senior keeper Rachel Hobert registered five saves for the Dolphins (10-6-4).

CONSOLATION

Conant 3, WW South 1: Star forward Courtney Raetzman scored a goal and added an assist to lead the No. 7 Cougars (13-3). Sam Armando and Sammie van de Linde also scored for Conant.

Sandburg 1, St. Viator 0: Elena Pappanastos scored the game-winner and keeper Nicole Kulovitz had five saves in posting the shutout.

BURLINGTON (Iowa)

Ankeny (Iowa) 1, St. Charles North 0: The No. 12 North Stars (12-3-2) lost the championship of the tournament when Ankeny, the defending state champion, scored on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute. "It was a great battle," St. Charles North coach Ruth Vostal said.

St. Charles North 6, Normal 3: In the semifinals, Illinois State-recruit Lauren Koehl scored two goals and junior Alyssa Brandt also scored twice to lead the North Stars.

Plainfield North 7, Normal 3: In the third-place game, star senior forward Callie O'Donnell scored three goals and junior forward Ashley Handwork added two goals for the No. 9 Tigers (14-3-1). The Tigers lost to eventual tournament champion Ankeny (Iowa) on penalty kicks in an earlier semifinal.

MOLINE

Prospect 2, Lemont 1, OT: Taylor Smith scored the game-winner for the Knights (4-3-5). Rachel Suarez also scored a goal for Prospect.

Prospect 3, Pleasant Valley (Iowa) 0: In the semifinals, Smith, Rosie Pettenuzzo and Megan Hood scored a goal each to power the Knights.

TIMOTHY CHRISTIAN

Montini 2, Timothy Christian 0: In pool play, the Broncos knocked out the hosts as Bridget Lucas and Valerie Sanchez recorded goals. Haley Werner and Kelsey McHugh were credited with assists.

Montini 2, Lisle 0: Maggie Burke scored on a goal assisted by Lucas and Jessie Bejna added a score on a penalty kick.
