CHICAGO PREP

Ellison 62, Noble Street 13: Shanice Dawson had a huge game with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 14 steals as Ellison (2-0, 1-0) won its conference opener. Brandi Miner (11 points, eight rebounds, six steals) and Rolanda Echols (10 points, 12 rebounds) also contributed.

NONCONFERENCE

Hillcrest 70, Homewood-Flossmoor 62: The No. 3 Hawks (1-0) edged No. 24 Homewood-Flossmoor as Samirah Ali scored 22 points and Dana Gettis contributed 19 points.

St. Joseph 44, East Aurora 27: Arriel Anderson netted 10 points and Shaakera Jones had eight points and five rebounds for the No. 10 St. Joseph (1-0).

Dyett 48, Little Village 27: Korea Meade tallied 18 points for Dyett (1-1).

Latin 73, Holy Trinity 20: Nikki Dizon had 16 points, five rebounds and six assists, while Bridget Cato added 13 points and six assists as Latin (2-0) cruised to the nonconference win.

Lindblom 60, Bulls Prep 21: Cre Williams and Doneisha Hawkins scored 16 points and 10 points, respectively, to power Lindblom (1-0).

Morgan Park Academy 61, Luther East 28: Morgan Park Academy won its opener, led by Kelly Sorfleet's 16 points.

Plainfield Central 38, Lemont 34: Brigid Hanley scored a team-high 18 points for Plainfield Central.

Resurrection 55, St. Francis de Sales 40: Jenny Stychala posted a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Resurrection (1-0). Annie Larsen scored 12 points and Liz Rehberger chipped in 10 points and six assists.

Rich East 42, Brooks 34: The Rockets pulled out the win as Jasmin Washington scored 15 points, grabbed six rebounds and had four steals.

Rich South 52, Lincoln-Way West 40: Kiela Garner pulled down eight rebounds and had seven steals for Rich South (2-0). DeAsia Garrett added five steals.

U-High 41, Perspectives-Calumet 33: U-High was led by Sophia Gatton (19 points) and Kendall Rallins (18 points).

ADDISON TRAIL/FENTON

Addison Trail 44, Leyden 29: Katie Dedmond led the Blazers with 16 points.

Fenton 43, Lane 31: Tina Guarino's 10 points paced the Bison past Lane.

ANDREW

Andrew 53, Joliet West 43: Nicole Botich (19 points, 12 rebounds) and Tiana Karopulos (16 points, seven rebounds) sparked the host Thunderbolts to victory.

Rich Central 59, Oak Lawn 45: Tatianna Newell netted a team-high 21 points, while Chaz Duson turned in a solid all-court effort with 13 points, five rebounds and six steals for Rich Central (2-0).

BUFFALO GROVE

Maine South 65, Barrington 32: Jacqui Graham (16 points), Michelle Maher (14 points) and Nina Duric (11 points) carried No. 4 Maine South (2-0) over the Fillies.

ELGIN ACADEMY

Harvest Christian 40, Mooseheart 28: Sydney Doby posted 28 points, 11 rebounds and a pair of assists for Harvest Christian (1-1).

Willows 39, Christian Liberty 24: Willows (3-0) remained unbeaten behind Keelin McNally's 12 points and six steals. Monica Hinderer had nine points, 11 rebounds and five steals.

RICHARDS

Richards 46, Reavis 29: Brianna Lebeau (13 points), Allison Stazak (nine points) and Sam Kusta (nine points) led a balanced offensive attack for Richards (1-0).

Thornton 64, Eisenhower 24: Naomi Fuller scored 22 points to lead Thornton (1-0). Georgetta Reid and Linchay Henderson added 12 points apiece.

SCHAUMBURG

Glenbrook South 58, Rockford Boylan 35: Colleen McDonagh scored 15 points and Molly McDonagh had 14 points for Glenbrook South (2-0).

SOMONAUK

Aurora Central 44, Somonauk 31: Jackie Cardon scored 15 points for Aurora Central (3-1). Katilyn Rose had 11 points and Ashley Wilk scored 10 points.

VERNON HILLS

Vernon Hills 54, Ridgewood 23: Meri Bennett-Swanson had 19 points, six rebounds, three steals and four blocks to pace the host Cougars (1-2). Sydney Smith contributed 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.
