Brother Rice d. Glenbrook North 25-20, 28-26: Joe Pochinskas had 11 kills, Mitch Weiler had eight kills and Dan Dwyer contributed 29 assists in the win for Brother Rice (15-11).

Shepard d. Lemont 25-18, 25-17: Dan Taylor (eight kills, three aces), Steve Martinez (six kills) and Pat Neylon (23 assists) paced Shepard (12-13, 7-6).

Riverside Brookfield d. Hinsdale Central 26-24, 23-25, 25-21: Rich Green (six kills, 18 assists, two aces) and Matthias Witteman (six kills, five digs) pushed Riverside-Brookfield (15-12) over the hump.

South Elgin d. St. Viator 25-16, 26-24: Nate Marotta had 14 kills and Mario Salas had nine kills to lead South Elgin (7-15).
