Brother Rice d. Oak Park-River Forest 26-24, 25-13: The Cusaders evened their record at 11-11 behind the hitting of Mitch Wieler (nine kills) and Matt Kill (seven kills).

Glenbrook North d. Maine West 25-9, 25-12: Zohaib Mevawalla powered his way to seven kills as the second-ranked Spartans (20-2, 3-0 Central Suburban North) breezed to an easy win.

Lake Forest d. North Chicago 25-6, 25-14: Henry Lamp led the Scouts with six kills. Jeff Zillner added four kills in the win.

Libertyville d. Mundelein 25-17, 25-15: Teddy Kopacz dished out 27 assists as the Wildcats rolled to an easy conference win.

Lincoln-Way East d. Neuqua Valley 25-14, 19-25, 25-12: Austin Royer dished out 35 assists, including 14 to his brother Nate, as No.3 Lincoln-Way East (20-3) squeaked out a win.

Maine South d. Glenbrook South 25-15, 25-15: Maine South (13-5) got 24 assists from Matt Garvey the Hawks upset No.9 Glenbrook South in straight sets.

Niles West d. Evanston 20-25, 25-20, 25-18: Niles West (13-10, 3-1 Central Suburban south) was able to keep up its winning conference record behind alvin Lee's 18 assists.

St. Rita d. Lyons 25-12, 25-20: John Johnson and Tommy Stark each had eight kills as the Mustangs (15-9) defeated the Lions with ease.

Vernon Hills d. Antioch 25-6, 25-15: Vernon Hills (16-2) continued their amazing run to start the season as they breezed to a win behind the powerful hitting arm of Chris Edwards, who finished with five kills. Jake Baruch added 12 assists.

WW South d. West Aurora 25-10, 25-18: Kit Brunzel's 25 assists led the top-ranked Tigers (24-0)
