Vernon Hills d. Mundelein 25-17, 26-24: Martin Niemczewski (seven kills), Evan Borden (five kills) and Ryan Opitz (19 assists) carried No. 8 Vernon Hills (9-0).

Ag. Science d. Brooks 25-13, 25-11: Pat Sullivan led the way with 11 aces and 10 assists for the Cyclones (6-2-1, 5-0 Green-South).

Downers North d. Lockport 25-18, 25-20: Troy Krafthefer (seven kills), Paul Novosyolov (six kills) and Chris George (nine assists, six digs) led the way for Downers North (6-1).

Dunbar d. Roosevelt 25-20, 17-25, 25-12: Dejuan Appleberry’s 10 kills paced the Mightymen (1-4).

Minooka d. Hinsdale Central 25-17, 25-17: Rick Bishop and Justin Toth had six kills apiece for Minooka (12-2).

St. Ignatius d. Latin 25-19, 23-25, 25-15: Neal Browne had nine assists and three blocks for St. Ignatius.

Stevenson d. Libertyville 25-19, 21-25, 25-14: Brad Tiller (nine kills), Jason Fleischman (eight kills) and Jonah May (24 assists) led Stevenson (8-1, 3-0 North Suburban Lake).
