Downers North d. York 25-20, 25-10: JP Tulacka had four kills for the No. 7 Trojans.

Elk Grove d. Buffalo Grove 22-25, 25-21, 29-27: Mike Kawa had 21 kills and Aaron Kraus added 16 kills to lead Elk Grove.

Lyons d. Proviso West 25-13, 25-13: Jason Dolinski had four kills and five aces for Lyons (5-1, 1-0) in the West Suburban Silver win while John Peterson added 12 assists.

Plainfield East d. Oswego 25-19, 25-18: Plainfield East had eight kills rom Freddy Miller and six kills from Kevin Oppe in the two-set victory.

Richards d. Oak Forest 25-21, 25-14: Nick Costa notched 14 kills and 10 digs while Danny Krasich had 22 assists to lead Richards.
