Brother Rice d. Providence 25-21, 21-25, 25-23: Mitch Weiler had 12 kills to lead Brother Rice (3-4, 1-0 Catholic League).

Carmel d. Antioch 25-17, 25-7: Will Collazo (three kills), Matt Michalak (six digs) and Jon Wloch (seven assists) helped push Carmel to the victory.

Chicagoland Jewish d. Heritage Christian 25-14, 25-9: Danny Hochberg (two kills, seven aces) and Eli Schrayer (four ace, six assists) led the way for Chicagoland Jewish (2-0).

Glenbard North d. Bartlett 25-20, 25-22: Brad Darzins had seven kills and five digs, Michael Drews had three kills, and Tyler Wiser had nine digs to carry Gelnbard North.

Maine South d. St. Charles North 25-22, 25-23: Matt Garvey (20 assists, three aces) led the way for Maine South (1-1).

Mount Carmel d. St. Ignatius 25-14, 25-12: Bob Walsh (eight kills) and Dominic Villa (20 assists) helped carry the load for Mount Carmel (6-3).

St. Francis d. Streamwood 25-15, 25-8: Branden Roberts (12 kills), Patrick Flood (five kills) and Tim Olsen (four kills) helped St. Francis (3-0) remain undefeated.
