Koziol ruled ineligible by IHSA
Ryan Koziol, who transferred to Providence from Brother Rice over the summer, was ruled ineligible to play baseball next spring by the IHSA.
A left-handed hitting shortstop/pitcher, Koziol, a senior, was named to the SouthtownStar All-Area team as a sophomore.
He has committed to the University of Arizona.
“We did what we felt was right in upholding the integrity of the IHSA rule,” Brother Rice principal Jim Antos said.
