CLASS 4A REGIONAL SEMIFINALS

BARRINGTON

Palatine 8, Hersey 1: David Schalla threw four-hitter in a complete-game win for Palatine (22-14). Kurt Becker had three hits.

LIBERTYVILLE

Warren 11, Zion-Benton 1: Adam Glogovsky belted a home run and knocked in two runs for Warren (20-12). Patrick Kenney contributed 3 RBI.

LOCKPORT

Lockport 4, Plainfield Central 2: Austin Mastella had a double and RBI and John Kosmowski added an RBI for the Porters (24-12).

ST. RITA

Fenwick 7, Young 6: Nick Johnson went 2-for-4 including the game-winning sacifice fly RBI for the Friars (19-13) in the 7th inning. Tyler Sewall added two hits and Drew Schroeder hit a three-run double.

CLASS 3A REGIONAL SEMIFINALS

BELVIDERE

Belvidere 5, Woodstock 4: Blaise Humphry earned the win for Belvidere. Troy Vandenbroek went 2-for-2 with a double and Jacob Ellegood went 2-for-3.

LAKES

Vernon Hills 9, Grayslake North 5: Pat Crowley picked up the victory for the Cougars. Chris Marras and Tyler Coppney each had two hits.

ST. JOSEPH

St. Joseph 17, North Lawndale 0: Tyler Polich struck out 10 en route to a no-hitter for the host Chargers.

SYCAMORE

Kaneland 17, IMSA 0: Winning pitcher Drew Peters threw a perfect game for Kaneland. Sam Komel (3-for-3, four RBI) and Drew French (three RBI) paced the Knights offensively.

CLASS 2A SECTIONAL SEMIFINAL

BENEDICTINE UNIVERSITY

Walther Lutheran 6, Westminster Christian 4, 8 inn.: Dan Lodolce (5-2) picked up the win for Walther Lutheran (15-14). Josh Galvan (1-for-4, two RBI) and Shaq Cockrell (1-for-3, RBI) led the offense.
