CLASS 4A SECTIONAL SEMIFINALS

EVANSTON

Maine South 10, Niles West 0: John Forsythe (7-2) had eight strikeouts and four walks in six innings of work to earn the win for Maine South (32-5), giving up zero hits and zero runs. Nick Calabrese (4-for-4, two doubles, one triple, three runs scored) and Nick Mitrovic (4-for-4, one double, five RBI) powered the offense.

GLENBROOK SOUTH

Mundelein 3, Palatine 2: Ryan Borucki pitched two innings for Mundelien and picked up the win, and was also 2-for-3 from behind the plate. Bryan Wiener (3-for-4, one home run, game-winning single) and Jordan Wiegold (2-for-4) sparked the offensive attack.

CLASS 3A SECTIONAL SEMIFINALS

GLENBARD SOUTH

Nazareth 8, Glenbard South 2: Dominic Pupura was the winning pitcher while Tim Dalporto (4-for-4, two doubles) led the offense.

WASHINGTON

Simeon 10, Jones 0, 6 inn.: Darius Day (8-0) struck out 13 and gave up one hit in six innings of work for Simeon. Blake Hickman had two home runs and five RBI, Shane Brown was 3-for-4 with three RBI and Elbert Dunnigan was 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
