St. Laurence 18, Loyola 6: Brandon Mallder was 3-for-4 with a home run and a double while Kevin Smith was 4-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI. Nick Altobella (3-0) earned the win for top-ranked St. Laurence (26-3-1, Catholic Blue 12-2).
Lincoln-Way North 13, Thornridge 0: Jack Troike was 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead No. 5 Lincoln-Way North.
Maine South 6, Glenbrook South 4: Patrick Aloisio (8-0) went 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs and striking out five. Kyle Richardson was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Frank Perrone was 1-for-3 with two RBI for No. 6 Maine South (22-3).
Sandburg 3, Joliet Central 2: Winning pitcher Brent Jurceka (5-2) went six innings, gave up an earned run, three hits and struck out six. Zach Reks popped a two-run homer to lift the No. 9 Eagles (19-4).
Andrew 6, Bradley-Bourbonnais 3: Zach Klockowski was 3-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a run scored. Justin Rzeszutko was 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Aurora Christian 13, Immaculate Conception 0: Bobby Kuntzendorf (9-0) gave up no runs and struck out nine through five innings pitched to pick up the win. Josh Haugen was 3-for-4 with three RBI, Jake Hanson was 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored and Brandon Walgren was 3-for-4 with three RBI.
Bremen 5, Argo 0: Sean Grant (3-0) struck out six in a complete-game pitching performance and also lifted a two-run homer at the plate. Eric West added two RBI as Bremen (16-15, 7-8 South Suburban Blue) blanked Argo.
Brother Rice 7, St. Rita 6: Garrett O’Neill cranked the game-winning two-run homer for Brother Rice (17-11, 8-6 Catholic Blue) and Kevin Biondic went 3-for-4 with an RBI while picking up the save as the Crusaders repelled St. Rita.
Corliss 5, Lindblom 1: Dantrell Meekins struck out 11 and Syntrell Dyson hit two home runs in the win.
Glenbard South 11, Elmwood Park 1: Mitch Gasbarro was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI while Ethan Gasbarro was 4-for-5 with two RBI for Glenbard South.
Grayslake Central 13, Woodstock North 0: Jon Curchak blasted a two-run homer and Kyle Clark slapped two hits for Grayslake Central.
Herscher 2, Manteno 0: Matt Webber (6-2) went 6 1/3 innings, struck out five and gave up two hits in the win for Herscher (26-6).
Hersey 5, Rolling Meadows 2: Mike Danielak struck out seven in a complete-game win.
Highland Park 7, Glenbrook North 2: Jake Rubin gave up four hits and struck out six in a complete-game performance. Christian Biondi, Adam Kaplan and Harry Carl each went yard in the win.
Homewood-Flossmoor 5, Lincoln-Way East 2: Danny Lietz (6-4) struck out 13 in a complete-game win and went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Homewood-Flossmoor (17-8).
Hyde Park 19, Robeson 2: Malik Gardner had 10 K's in the win for Hyde Park (8-7-2, 6-4-1 Carlton Fisk).
Lake Park 13, East Aurora 3, 6 inn.: Dom Romito went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored to lead Lake Park.
Lemont 10, Tinley Park 0: Tyler Jay had a strong showing from both sides of the field, pitching six innings, giving up two hits and striking out nine while going 4-for-5 from the plate with two doubles and two RBI for Lemont (16-7).
Lisle 8, Sandwich 0: Jared Jayne tossed a no-hitter to leave Sandwich mystified. Kevin Coppin knocked in two runs to aid the Lisle (28-5, 13-1 Interstate Eight) offense.
Lyons 8, Hinsdale Central 2: Steve Heilenbach finished the evening with a home run and three RBI.
Mundelein 10, Zion-Benton 0, 5 inn.: Pitcher of record Jared Mandel went five innings and struck out seven while Will Farmer was 2-for-2 with a double for Mundelein.
Niles North 6, Deerfield 3: James Fuller went 5 1/3 innings, giving up three runs and six hits to grab the 'W' for Niles North. Clark Fox smacked a homer and Sam Schwartz hoisted a three-run double.
Niles West 1, Waukegan 0: Jason Meger (4-4) logged the win for Niles West.
Oak Lawn 4, Eisenhower 3: Nick Mozwecz (6-2) threw a complete game, giving up two earned runs on three hits while striking out seven for Oak Lawn (16-9, 10-4 South Suburban Red).
Oak Park-River Forest 10, Downers North 0: Jake Picchiotti was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI for Oak Park-River Forest (18-6-1).
Payton 7, Northside 0: Ivan Chen tossed a complete game for Payton.
Plainfield Central 18, Romeoville 1: Joe Sparcio smacked a homer, two RBI and scored two runs while Blake Kerzih was 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored as Plainfield Central pounded Romeoville.
Plainfield South 1, Oswego East 0: Trevor Henderson threw a complete game allowing just two hits while showering Oswego East with 15 K's in the Plainfield South (18-10, 10-6) win.
Reavis 12, Evergreen Park 0: Richie Velez (triple, four RBI), Jake Stano (2-for-3, double, three RBI) and Joe O’Hara (three-run home run) led Reavis (13-16, 9-5 South Suburban Red).
St. Francis 7, Walther Lutheran 2: Josh Croci was 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored. Brett Jungel was 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in the St. Francis (15-12, 8-7 Suburban Christian) win.
St. Joseph 3, Gordon Tech 0: Trayvon Johnson threw a complete game, allowing two hits while striking out 13 for St. Joseph (18-12).
St. Viator 8, St. Patrick 2: Jake Soprych was 2-for-3 with three RBI, Chris Myjak was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Joe Rossi was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two stolen bases for St. Viator (16-12).
Schaumburg 9, Barrington 3: Matt Brancato went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI while pitcher Pat Bellinger went six innings to get the win for Schaumburg (16-12).
Shepard 20, Richards 8: Matt Scott was 4-for-5 with a double, home run and six RBI while Ramsey Hamdan was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI.
Sullivan 3, Amundsen 2: Makoto Okagawa allowed just two hits while striking out ten in a complete-game win and also knocked in the game-winning run for the Tigers.
Taft 8, Lake View 0: Alex Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with a double and RBI, John Guidone was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI and pitcher Matt Griffith allowed four hits while going the distance for Taft (23-3, 9-3 Jackie Robinson North).
Thornton 14, Stagg 7: Jamel Frazier was 3-for-5 with three runs scored for Thornton.
Timothy Christian 8, Riverside-Brookfield 5: Ben Zastrow was 3-for-4 with three RBI and Luke Davidson was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Timothy Christian.
U-High 6, Northridge 3: Matt Lawrence and Sam Lawrence were each 2-for-4 and Mac Sinclair was the pitcher of record.
Westinghouse 23, North Grand 6: Derrick Patrick pitched a complete-game, striking out 12 along the way. Deandre Welch was 4-for-6 with two RBI and two runs scored. Derrick Patrick was 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored. Jamar Leonard was 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored for Westinghouse (11-6, 9-2 Andre Dawson).
Vocational 6, Carver 4: Winning pitcher Shaquille Branch racked up 13 K's and drove in a run. Byron Day smacked two doubles and scored two runs for Vocational.
