Mount Carmel 9, Loyola 0: Jason Gasser struck out two, walked two and gave up two hits in a complete game for No. 1 Mount Carmel (24-2, 10-2 Catholic Blue). Tom Hayes (2-for-3, one double, four RBI), Brent Novosel (1-for-2, two-run home run) and Joe Kennedy (1-for-2, one double, one RBI) paced the offense.
Marist 3, St. Viator 0: John McKevitt (4-2) had two strikeouts and gave up three hits in a complete game for No. 7 Marist (20-5, 8-0 East Suburban Catholic). Cody Bohanek (2-for-3, one run scored) and Bryan Polak (2-for-3, one RBI) sparked the offense.
Nazareth 4, Marian Catholic 1: Jake Artels (5-0) struck out six giving up three hits and one earned run in six innings pitched for No. 8 Nazareth (20-2, 4-1 East Suburban Catholic). Tom Dalporto was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Sandburg 4, Bolingbrook 0: Brent Jurcek had two strikeouts in six innings to earn the win for No. 12 Sandburg (16-4, 6-2 SouthWest Suburban Blue). Ryan Donegan had three strikeouts in one inning to pick up the save. Zach Reks was 1-for-4 with one RBI.
New Trier 6, Deerfield 2: Grant Amick gave up three hits and two runs in five innings to pick up the win for No. 13 New Trier.
Addison Trail 10, Leyden 0: Anthony Infantino gave up just one hit and zero earned runs in five innings pitched for Addison Trail.
Antioch 4, Round Lake 3: David Meade had eight strikeouts in a complete game for Antioch, giving up nine hits and three runs. Adam Warner added an RBI.
Argo 9, Eisenhower 2: Tremaine Rhines struck out 12 and gave up two hits in a complete game for Argo (11-14, 3-9 South Suburban Red. Brandon Palmer was 2-for-3 with three RBI, including a two-run homer.
Clemente 9, Mather 2: David Feliciano had 10 strikeouts, and Jeremiah Figueroa had one home run and two RBI to lead Clemente.
Crete-Monee 17, Rich South 1: Jake Kadic (3-for-5, three RBI, two runs scored) and Kyle Bumpass (2-for-2, three RBI, two runs scored) led Crete-Monee (15-9, 8-1 Southland) in the rout.
De La Salle 12, St. Joseph 3: Anthony Shimkus (4-3) was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored, in addition to being the winning pitcher. for De La Salle (17-8). Ricardo Ramirez was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored.
Illinois Lutheran 6, Gardner-South Wilmington 3: Zach Kotecki was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Guerin 8, St. Patrick 7: Liam Lopez (3-3) had four strikeouts and two walks, giving five runs in six and one-third innings pitched to earn the win for Guerin (10-17). Kevin Klein (2-for-4, two-run home run, three RBI) led the offensive attack.
Harlan 10, Kenwood 7: Terrel Stewart was 3-for-4 with one double, two RBI and one run scored for Harlan.
Hinsdale South 5, Morton 1: PJ Schuster had five strikeouts, giving up three hits and zero earned runs in six innings of work for Hinsdale South.
Hersey 7, Elk Grove 0: Trevor Haas struck out three, gave up one hit and no runs in a complete game for Hersey. He was also 2-for-4 from behind the plate.
Huntley 3, Lake Zurich 1: Bryan Dohertty was the winning pitcher.
Illiana Christian 3, Elmwood Park 0: Braden Mulder had seven strikeouts in six innings pitched for
Illiana Christian (16-7). He gave up two hits and no runs.
Illinois Lutheran 6, Gardner-South Wilmington 3: Zach Kotecki was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.
IMSA 9, Luther North 0: Devin Hendricks struck out eight and gave up five hits to pick up the win for IMSA (7-11). Sam Cofman (1-for-2, three runs scored, three RBI) and Matt Tennenhouse (3-for-4, two RBI) helped push the offense.
Lake Park 5, South Elgin 0: Christian Taugner had 11 strikeouts, giving up one hit and one walk in a complete game for Lake Park (14-9, 10-5 Upstate Eight Valley). John Schram was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Lane 12, Von Steuben 0: Winning pitcher Jack McLaughlin struck out seven in five innings, and Spencer Barclay had a double and three RBI for Lane in the rout.
Lincoln-Way Central 11, Joliet Central 0: Matt Mikolajczak (2-3) had nine strikeouts and one walk in five hittless innings of work for Lincoln-Way Central (14-9, 4-4 SouthWest Suburban Blue). Jack Krull (2-for-3, two doubles, two RBI), Matt Filkins (3-for-3, one double, one runs scored) and Kevin Mampe (2-for-2, one double) led the offensive attack.
Lincoln-Way North 15, Thornwood 5: Mike Miller (6-0) struck out seven and gave up one earned run in four innings pitched for Lincoln-Way North. Dominicj Hartman had one home run, and Josh Handzik was 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Manteno 8, Wilmington 1: Mark Reardanz was 2-for-4 with a grand slam, while J.J. Whiterow and Joey DiLeo were each 2-for-4, as well, to carry Manteno.
Minooka 11, Romeoville 0: Josh Jimenez struck out 10 in five hitless innings for Minooka (18-8). Steve Wittkamp had two RBI.
Ridgewood 6, Timothy Christian 3: Anthony Mroz tossed a complete game, and Christian Noriss-Avis and David Parker had two RBI apiece to lead Ridgewodod.
St. Ignatius 4, Gordon Tech 1: Tony Rosalez (1-1) had six strikeouts and gave up four hits in four innings pitched for St. Ignatius (7-13, 4-8 Catholic White). Ryan Ross was 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored.
Schurz 11, Prosser 0: Francisco Garcoa had six strikeouts and gave up one hit in five innings pitched to earn the win for Schurz (14-7,11-0 Jackie Robinson Central). Roberto Prado was 3-for-4 with three RBI.
Streamwood 9, Larkin 2: Alex Morrow hit a two-run homer to lead Streamwood.
T.F. North 6, Evergreen Park 4: Zachary Turner (2-for-3) and Bill Wilson (three RBI) led T.F. North's offensive charge.
Thornton 7, Thornridge 3: Antuan McHerron had 10 strikeouts and gave up two hits in a complete game effort for Thornton (10-14, 4-4 SouthWest Suburban Red). Luke Arrington was 2-for-4 with one run scored.
Willowbrook 10, Proviso West 0: Mike Rothmund's four RBI charged Willowbrook (14-12).
