Mount Carmel 4, St. Joseph 3: Jeremy Kravetz had nine strikeouts and gave up four hits in six innings pitched to keep No. 1 Mount Carmel (17-0) undefeated. Tyler Laurisch (2-for-3, one RBI) and Dan Pappas (1-for-3, game-winning RBI) sparked the offense.
St. Laurence 12, Bishop McNamara 5: Brandon Mallder (2-for-3, one double, two RBI) and Brad Wood ( 2-for-3, three RBI) led the way for No. 2 St. Laurence (18-1, 5-0 Catholic Blue).
Nazareth 6, Ridgewood 1: Kyle Piotrowski (1-0) struck out two and gave up eight hits in a complete game effort for No. 11 Nazareth (14-1). Sean Maloney was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Maine South 12, Niles North 2: Patrick Alosio (5-0) struck out six in four innings, giving up one hit and one earned run to pick up the win for No. 20 Maine South (12-3, 3-0 Central Suburban South). Kyle Richardson (3-for-3, two doubles, two RBI, two runs scored) and Lawrence Garlak (2-for-2, one double, two runs scored) carried the offense.
Ag. Science 19, Fenger 3: Zack Sopolski-Reed (3-for-3, four RBI, four runs scored) and Prince DeMarco (3-for-3, four RBI) helped Ag. Science (14-5-1, 4-0 Ernie Banks) cruise.
Brother Rice 6, Gordon Tech 1: Brendan Curtin (1-0) was the winning pitcher while Garrett O'Neill was 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead Brother Rice (12-5, 4-1 Catholic Blue).
Elk Grove 11, Wheeling 1: Mikey Maize was 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI and two runs scored for Elk Grove.
Fremd 5, Barrington 0: Jack Andersen was the winning pitcher for Fremd.
Highland Park 8, Glenbrook South 4: Jake Rubin struck out five, giving up five hits and two earned runs in a complete game for Highland Park (7-10, 2-1 Central Suburban North). Christian Biondi was 3-for-4 with one home run, one double and two RBI.
Homewood-Flossmoor 15, Crete-Monee 11: Nick Brandt (3-for-3, two doubles, one RBI) and Elon Chamberlain (2-for-2, one home run, four RBI) steered Homewood-Flossmoor (11-3).
Herscher 16, Reed-Custer 0: Matt Webber (4-1) had five strikeouts in four innings of hitless work for Herscher (17-4, 4-1 Interstate Eight). Evan Regez was 3-for-3 with five RBI to help push the rout.
Lane 12, Lake View 1: Cody Davis (3-2) had three strikeouts, giving up one hit and one walk in the win for Lane (7-9, 4-0 Jackie Robinson North). Ricky Hernandez (2-for-3, three RBI) and Mike Delanty (3-for-3, two RBI) powered the offense.
Lake Forest 10, Wauconda 9: Jordan Beck (4-for-4, one triple, three RBI) and Henry Erzinger (3-for-4, two RBI) helpde Lake Forest (6-8) pull out the victory.
Lisle 15, Seneca 3: Ty Howell (2-for-4, one double, one home run, three RBI) and Ryan Van Volkenburg (2-for-3, one RBI) helped carry Lisle (16-4) in the rout.
Little Village 7, Hancock 5: Pepe Reyes (3-0) went four innings to pick up the win for Little Village (5-3), while Luis Brizuela was 2-for-2 to help lead the offense.
Loyola 11, Fenwick 8: Danny Rafferty had seven strikeouts in four innings pitched for Loyola (6-13, 4-1 Chicago Catholic Blue). Fred Smart was 4-for-4 with one double and two RBI.
Morgan Park 5, Young 2: De'John Suber struck out six and walked four in five innings of work for Morgan Park (17-4). Michael Hudson earned the save, while Thomas Clay was 1-for-3 with a three-run homer.
Naperville North 10, Wheaton South 8: Mariano Long struck out six in a complete game for Naperville North (5-10). Conner Adamski (3-for-4, two RBI) and Nick Solak (3-for-3, one double, one triple) helped charge the offense.
Niles West 3, Deerfield 2: Seth Rosenberg (4-0) had three strikeouts, giving up one hit and one earned run in five innings pitched for Niles West (15-2). Evan Athanasiou pitched two innings and earned the save, and Kevin Ross was 1-for-3 with one home run, one RBI and one run scored.
New Trier 3, Glenbrook North 1: Brady Anderson (2-0) had 13 strikeouts to lead New Trier (7-4, 2-1), giving up three hits, one walk and one run. Chris Hall providedthe game-winning double.
Reavis 23, Eisenhower 2: Matt Javorski was 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI in the rout for Reavis (6-12, 4-2 South Suburban Red).
St. Rita 16, St. Ignatius 6: Billy Henry (4-1) earned the win, while Zack Soria (2-for-3, one double, one home run, one RBI), Rick Faron (3-for-4, one home run, five RBI) and Jake Shepski (3-for-3, two triples, two RBI) charged the offense.
St. Charles East 6, Metea Valley 4: Joe Hoscheit (2-for-4, three RBI) and Nick Erickson (2-for-4, one RBI) helped St. Charles East pull out the win.
St. Francis 6, Marian Central 3: Eric Bacon had six strikeouts and gave up six hits in a complete game for St. Francis (9-8). Lonnie Hicks was 2-for-3.
Shepard 10, Evergreen Park 8, 8 inn.: Ramsey Hamdan was 2-for-4 with five RBI, including the game-winning homer. Adam Samad was 2-for-4 with one triple and three RBI to help out in the win for Shepard (8-7, 5-2 South Suburban Red).
Walther Lutheran 10, Aurora Central 5: Chris Stevens was 3-for-4 with two homers and six RBI to lead Walther Lutheran (9-9, 4-2 Suburban Christian Blue).
Westinghouse 13, Orr 3: Derrick Patrick finished with 11 strikeouts in a complete game for Westinghouse (4-5, 2-1 Andrew Dawson). He was also 1-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored, while Jamar Leonard was 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run scored.
