Nazareth 7, Riverside-Brookfield 1: Dominic Purpura (3-0) nabbed the win for No. 6 Nazareth (12-0) in four innings of shutout work. He had three strikeouts and gave up two hits. Mike Stromberg was 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Simeon 11, Morgan Park 3: Darius Day struck out nine and gave up two hits in five innings of work for No. 11 Simeon (11-3, 1-0 Jackie Robinson South). Ro Coleman (3-for-5, one RBI), Shan Brown (2-for-2, one RBI) and Robert Fletcher (two RBI) provided some of the offense.
Aurora Christian 2, St. Edward 1: J.T. Bashka (nine strikeouts, four hits, three walks, one earned run) tossed a complete game for Aurora Christian (8-2, 1-0 Suburban Christian). Kenny McCracken was 1-for-3 and came through with the game-winning RBI.
Bremen 16, T.F. North 5: Tyler Banovich (4-0) struck out five and gave up three earned runs in five innings for work for Bremen (11-6, 3-0 South Suburban Blue). Vince Jannotta was 4-for-4 with three RBI, and Noel Sanders was 2-for-4 with four RBI.
Corliss 5, King 4: Deonta Branch (3-3) had 15 strikeouts in a complete game for Corliss (10-6, 1-0 Ernie Banks). Cyntrell Dyson was 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Foreman 7, Steinmetz 2: Jason Camarillo (2-2) finished with three strikeouts, giving up three hits and two runs in the win for Foreman (3-5, 1-0 Jackie Robinson). David Perea was 3-for-4 with two RBI and two stolen bases.
Glenbrook North 14, Brother Rice 8: John Boibanis (1-0) struck out nine, walked two and gave up seven hits in five and two-thirds innings pitched for Glenbrook North (9-4). Jason Scholl was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, one three-run homer and Chad Bruce was 1-for-3 with one home run, two RBI and one run scored.
Hales 11, TEAM Englewood 0: D.J. Coleman (3-for-3, three RBI) and Tim Robertson (2-for-3, three RBI) led the charge for Hales (6-4).
Harlan 18, Brooks 7: Semaj Patterson (2-1) was the winning pitcher for Harlan (9-5, 1-0 Jackie Robinson South). Tyler Johnson (3-for-4, one double, one triple, three RBI, three runs scored, one stolen base), Arramis Johnson (2-for-3, two RBI, four runs scored, one stolen base) and Andre Hogan (2-for-2, three RBI, one run scored, one stolen base) all had big games.
Homewood-Flossmoor 10, Lincoln-Way North 1: Danny Lietz (3-1) pitched a complete game for Homewood-Flossmoor (8-2), finshing with 14 strikeouts. He gave up two hits, one earned run and walked two in the process. Steve Roman was 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI.
Jones 5, Curie 2: Joe Casa had nine strikeouts in a complete game for Jones (10-1). Jeremy Scott had one double and scored three runs.
Lake View 5, Clemente 4: Justin Montalvo (3-3) struck out 10 and pitched a complete game for Lake View (4-8, 1-0 Jackie Robinson North)/ He was also 3-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. Josh Rosas had one home run and Morino Cantu supplied the game-winning RBI.
Lane 11, Payton 0: Jack McLaughlon had four strikeouts and gave up two hits to earn his first win of the season for Lane (4-9, 1-0 Jackie Robinson North). Alex Sheehan (2-for-3, one double, one triple, three RBI), Rick Hernandez (3-for-4, two RBI) and Mike Henry (2-for-2, one RBI) helped carry the offense.
Lincoln-Way Central 21, Thornton 8: Jake Kozlowski (3-0) was the winning pitcher for Lincoln-Way Central (10-3).
Lisle 14, Coal City 4: Brian Czyl (4-for-4), Nick Olson (3-for-4, two doubles, three RBI) and Ryan Van Volkenburg (3-for-4, one home run, three RBI) led the way for Lisle (11-4).
Leo 14, Longwood 6: Clinton Hampton (2-3) struck out 10, walked 10 and gave up three earned runs in five innings of work for Leo (9-7). He was 2-for-2. Christian Hall was also 2-for-2 with three runs scored and four stolen bases. Phillip Byrd was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and James Fagan was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Morton 7, Ridgewood 6: Alex Flores was 2-for-3 and had the game-winning RBI for Morton (4-8).
Niles North 6, St. Patrick 4: Ari Cone had four strikeouts and gave up two earned runs for Niles North (9-5) to pick up the win. Dan Ammer was 1-for-2 with one home run, while Elliot Mark had two RBI, including the game-winning hit.
Northside 8, Von Steuben 7: Clint Tres was 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run scored for Northside (6-7, 1-0 Jackie Robinson North).
Oak Lawn 18, Evergreen Park 8: Bob Kametas (3-0) went three and two-thirds innings, finishing with eight strikeouts, giving up two hits to lead Oak Lawn (8-5, 3-1 South Suburban Red). Brian Barnhouse was 4-for-4 with one double and five RBI.
Perspectives-Calumet 12, Fenger 2: Steven Robinson had four strikeouts and gave up one earned run in five innings pitched for Perspectives (5-9). He was also 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Steven Coyler was 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Richards 11, Eisenhower 1: Tyler Fortier (2-0) gave up four hits and struck out seven in the win for Richards (8-6, 3-0 South Suburban Red).
Sandburg 21, Stagg 8: Zach Reks (3-for-3, one home run, five RBI) and Matt Farrington (one home run, four RBI) led Sandburg's offensive explosion.
St. Benedict 20, Ellison 0: Sage Derrig (2-1) was the winning pitcher for St. Benedict (6-4, 2-1 Chicago Prep)

St. Francis 15, Wheaton Academy 5: Jack Petrando (3-1) pitched four and one-third innings, walking one, striking out one. Tom Ameche was 3-for-4 with one double, three runs and two RBI, and Lonnie Hicks was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored to help fuel the offense for St. Francis (8-6, 2-1 Suburban Christian Blue).
Schaumburg 14, Palatine 13: Tom Byrne was 2-for-5 with one triple and two RBI. Jordan Grubb was 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Justin Charvat was 2-for-4 with three RBI to help Schaumburg (8-5) squeeze out the win.
Schurz 20, North Lawndale 6: Roberto Prado (two home runs) and Fransisco Garcia (4-for-4) helped Schurz (4-7) cruise.
Seton Academy 9, Muchin 7: Ryan Walker had four strikeouts, gave up three hits and one earned run to pick up the win for Seton Academy (4-10). He was also 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Eron Evans was 3-for-3 with one RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases.
Shepard 13, Argo 0: Nick Medlicott (2-2) struck out five and gave up two hits in the win for Shepard (5-7, 2-2 South Suburban Red). Matt Scott (3-for-4, two doubles, five RBI) and Ramsey Hamdan (2-for-3, one triple, four RBI) helped charge the offense.
St. Viator 11, New Trier 6: Joe Rossi was 2-for-4 with two doubles, and Cosimo Cannella was 2-for-3 with one triple, one homer and one RBI to carry St. Viator (9-4).
T.F. South 20, Hillcrest 1: Cody Hutchison (3-0) gave up three hits and two walks, and struck out four to pick up the win for T.F. South (5-6, 2-1 South Suburban Blue). Peyton Padjen (2-for-3, two runs scored, one walk, five RBI) and Dominick Sciackitano (1-for-2, one walk, two runs scored, one three-run homer, one stolen base) helped spark the offense.
Tinley Park 3, Oak Forest 2: Zach Glowicki struck out three and gave up three hits in a complete game effort for Tinley Park (8-7). Tom Loranger was 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Washington 18, Lindblom 0: Manny Estreda (2-0) had 10 strikeouts in the win for Washington (9-4, 1-0 Ernie Banks).
Wheaton North 10, Niles North 2: Ed Norris gave up five hits in a complete game for Wheaton North (7-5, 1-0 DuPage Valley). Jake Schieber was 2-for-3 with one two-run homer and three RBI.
Yorkville 6, Morris 2: Tanner Cook went five and two-thirds innings, finishing with eight strikeouts, surrendering seven hits in the win for Yorkville (7-5-1). Tom Kinney (1-for-2, two RBI) and Chris Hill (2-for-3) helped spur Yorkville's attack.
