St. Laurence 14, Fenwick 0: Zach Lewis put in five innings of no-hit work, finishing with seven strikeouts. Nick Altobella was 3-for-3 with two RBI, and Brad Wood was 2-for-3 with one double and three RBI to keep No. 1 St. Laurence (12-0) undefeated.
Minooka 15, Plainfield East 2: Alex Bebar was 2-for-3 with two RBI to lead No. 6 Minooka in the rout. Austin Polcyn and Carson Neushwander chipped in two RBI apiece, as well.
Providence 13, St. Joseph 3: Bradu Wilkin had three RBI, and Brandon Boggetto and Sam Tidaback had two RBI apiece to lead the charge for No. 8 Providence (8-3, 2-0 Catholic League Blue).
Nazareth 1, Wheaton Academy 0: Dominic Purpura (2-0) tossed a complete game two-hitter, including nine strikeouts. He was also 2-for-3 and scored the game-winning run to keep No. 10 Nazareth (10-0) remain undefeated.
Simeon 6, Benton 3: Shane Brown struck out five and gave up two hits in six innings pitched to get the win for No. 14 Simeon (10-2). Blake Hickman picked up the save. Marshawn Taylor was 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI, and Corey Ray was 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Mundelein 8, Lake Forest 1: Matt Langlie had seven strikeouts and gave up four hits in a complete game for No. 15 Mundelein (12-2). Brian Wiener and Zach Osisek were both 3-for-4.
Lincoln-Way North 2, Lyons 0: Mike Miller (3-0) struck out seven and surrendered just one hit for No. 18 Lincoln-Way North (7-2).
Glenbrook North 5, Wheeling 0: Jake DeRousse (2-1) pitched a complete game shutout (11 strikeouts, two hits) to carry No. 20 Glenbrook North. Dimitris Bubaris was 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored.
Barrington 10, Notre Dame 1: Frank Waliczek struck out 10, surrendering five hits and one earned run in a complete-game outing for Barrington. Scott Nelson was 3-for-3 with one double and two runs scored.
Brother Rice 11, Bishop McNamara 0: Jack Miller (1-0) struck out two and gave up five hits in five innings pitched to lead Brother Rice (8-2, 2-0 Catholic Blue). Kevin McDonnell was 1-for-3 with two RBI and three doubles. Mike Reilly and Don Hode contributed one homer apiece.
Curie 5, Little Village 2: Juan Negrete (3-for-5, one RBI, one run scored) and Osvalod Montoya (2-for-5) led the offensive attack for Curie (5-3). Adam Sanchez (2-0) was the winning pitcher.
Glenbrook South 11, Schaumburg 0: Sully Stadler tossed a 10-strikeout perfect game for Glenbrook South (5-3).
Herscher 11, Clifton Central 0: Jimmy Brandt had six strikeouts and gave up two hits in five innings of work for Herscher (12-3).
Holy Trinity 10, Providence-St. Mel 0: Jay Mack had a 12-strikeout, one-hit outing for Holy Trinity (4-5, 2-0 Chicago Prep League), putting in five innings of shutout work. Jorge Anaya and Ivan Silva were both 3-for-3.
Homewood-Flossmoor 9, Peotone 0: Danny Leitz (12 strikeouts, two hits, two walks, five innings pitched) had a big day on the mound for Homewood-Flossmoor (6-2).
Lake Park 7, Conant 5: Nike Turner had a big day behind the plate going 4-for-4 with one double, one triple, two RBI and three runs scored to carry Lake Park (4-3).
Loyola 4, De La Salle 1: Danny Rafferty had seven strikeouts and surrendered three hits in a complete game for Loyola (3-9, 1-1 Catholic League Blue). Matt Fallon (3-for-4, two RBI), Fred Smart (2-for-4, one RBI), Logan Spurlin (2-for-4, one homerun) supplied the offense.
Marian Catholic 9, Bremen 0: Brett Lilek pitched a two-hitter through five innings, including 12 strikeouts for Marian Catholic (7-1). Devin Pickett was 1-for-3 with one homerun and two RBI.
Riverside-Brookfield 9, Glenbard South 4: Alex Nenadovic was key on both sides of the action for Riverside-Brookfield (6-4, 1-1 Metro Suburban). He was 2-for-4 behind the plate (two doubles, two RBI), as well as the winning pitcher (three strikouts, three earned runs, four hits in six innings pitched). CJ Duffek helped out going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
St. Rita 6, Gordon Tech 3: Billy Henry (2-0; seven strikeouts, five hits, two earned runs) threw a complete game for St. Rita (6-4). Zack Soria was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Stevenson 12, Zion-Benton 0: Jon Savarise (1-0) came up big for Stevenson (5-3), finshing with nine strikeouts in five innings pitched. He walked two and surrendered four hits in the process. He was also 2-for-3 wiith one double, one triple and four RBI. Will Bourbon was 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Taft 10, Lincoln Park 0: Mark Lemus threw a complete game two-hitter for Taft (10-0).
Thornton 7, Rich South 5: Jason Towns was 3-for-4 with two runs and three stolen bases to help spark Thornton (2-6). Mike Hoover was 3-for-3 with two RBI.
