New Trier 7, Warren 1: Josh Perlmutter had a perfect day at the plate finishing 3-for-3 with an RBI for the No.10 Trevians (2-0). Sean Visconti went 2-for-4 with a run knocked in to offer support.

Downers South 11-13, East Peoria 1-9: In Game 1 of the doubleheader, pitcher Brian Glowicki went six innings, struck out six and gave up three hits. Nick Vanek had quite the afternoon at the ballpark, going 3-for-4 with a grand slam, a three-run home run and a total of eight RBI. Vanek was also the pitcher of record in Game 2 for No.12 Downers South.

Maine South 13, Parkway West (Mo.) 3: No. 18 Maine South remained perfect at 4-0 as pitcher Patrick Aloisio worked five innings, gave up five hits and fanned six to record his second win of the season. The Hawks were led at the plate by Kyle Richardson (2-for-4, two home runs, three RBI, two runs), Laurence Darlick (2-for-2, three RBI, three runs) and Rocky Saavedra (3-for-3, RBI, run).

Ag. Science 18, Hubbard 5: Prince DeMarco lifted two homers and drove in five runs. Keven Stonewell also drove in five as Ag. Science clobbered Hubbard.

Antioch 5, Wheeling 0: David Meade tossed a complete-game three-hitter and struck out 10 for Antioch (3-1). Adam Warner cracked a home run and drove in two runs.

Bremen 16, Brooks 5: Winning pitcher Vince Jannotta gave up three earned runs and four hits in four innings. Shamari Warner had a big day at the plate, going 4-for-4 with two doubles and six RBI. Fellow Brave Dan Stephens also went 4-for-4, scoring three runs in the Bremen (6-3) win.

Brother Rice 11, Evergreen Park 3: Kevin Biondic had three RBI for Brother Rice (4-2).

Coal City 13, Pontiac 12: Ryland Tondini was 4-for-5 with three runs. Cody Onsen jacked two homers, two doubles and drove in five runs in the close Coal City (3-2) victory.

Eisenhower 15, Kelly 1: John O’Hara (1-0) went four innings on the mound, allowing just one hit in the Eisenhower (2-3) win.

Fenwick 7, Guerin 1: Kyle Pullia allowed two hits while striking out eight to earn his second 'W' of the season. Ryan Fitzgerald was 4-for-4 with a double and John Hayes had two RBI as Fenwick moved to 5-0 on the year.

Glenbard West 11, Castle (Ind.) 10: Miles Purdom was 5-for-5 with three runs scored and Ryan Kavanaugh hit a homer for Glenbard West (5-1) in this barn burner.

Glenbrook North 9, Francis Howell Central (Mo.) 3: Brad Ruchman went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. T.J. Tedeschi also went 2-for-3, driving in two runs while scoring two himself. Paul Boidanis cranked a homer and drove in two runs.

Lane 2, Loyola 0: Cody Davis (1-1) went the distance, giving up five hits en route to Lane 's (1-4) first win of the year.

Leyden 4, Maine West 1: Brennan Chillemi’s three-run triple keyed the Eagles’ offense. Dan Schoedel (2-0) allowed two hits and fanned five in 1 2/3 innings to claim the win for unbeaten Leyden (5-0).

Little Village 12, Steinmetz 2: Pitcher Pepe Reyes (1-0) toiled five innings on the mound, allowing one hit while peppering the Silver Streaks with nine K's to lead Little Village (2-0).

Minooka 5, Joliet West 4: Joe Carnagio was 2-for-3 at the plate, driving in one run for Minooka.

Niles North 11, Elizabeth Forward (Pa.)
4: Justin Green worked 5 1/3 innings and struck out eight hitters to lead the Vikings (6-2) past their out of state opponent.

Plainfield Central 8, Morris 7: Kyle Hunsinger knocked in the game-winning run for the Wildcats. Eric DeLoach went 3-for-4 with two homers, two RBI and three runs scored. Mike Bentson was 3-for-4 with two homers and four RBI. Steve Heffernan added a 2-for-4 day at the plate, which included a home run.

St. Francis 14, Plano 9: Alex Alcantera (3-for-3, home run, RBI, three runs) and Jack Petrando (2-for-2, two RBI, four runs) powered St. Francis (5-2) past Plano.

Sandwich 14, Somonauk 8: Sandwich's Mitch Brummel jacked a grand slam in the the high-scoring affair.

Urban Prep-West 10, Westinghouse 4: Malik Savage was 2-for-4 at the plate, scoring four runs for Urban Prep-West. Devon Harris was 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Walther Lutheran 10, Northridge Prep 0: Joe Lamnicki pitched a four-hit complete game. Josh Galvan was 2-for-3 as Walther Lutheran prevailed.

Wauconda 11, Crystal Lake Central 0: Shawn Sundquist threw a no-hitter for Wauconda (3-1) while Kyle Back hit a grand slam to spark the offense.

Willowbrook 2, Batavia 1: Nick Pertuzzi (1-0) scattered three hits in a complete-game win. Cal Motzan knocked in two runs for Willowbrook (2-4).
