Andrew 6, Willowbrook 4: Brian Grad fueled the Thunderbolts' offense with two RBI and two runs scored. Tyler Hook earned the win giving up three runs in four innings.
Bremen 13-14, Thornridge 3-4: Eric West drove in a combined 10 runs between the two games for the Braves (5-3).
De La Salle 9, St. Patrick 2: Glen Kubek and Matt Ramirez both homered for the victorious Meteors (3-1) and Pat Haynes improved to 2-0 on the season with 12 strikeouts over six innings of work. Haynes also contributed at the dish with a triple and two RBI.
Elgin 7-8, Sycamore 4-10: Alex Doty allowed three runs and struck out five over four innings to pick up the Game 1 win. Gage Teschner went 3-for-4 at the plate.
Glenbrook North 5, Payton 1: Dan Jankelow notched the win and Tommy Senft recorded the save for No.14 Glenbrook North (2-1).
Herscher 6-6, Mahomet-Seymour 0-3: In the first game, Jordan Ruckman was lights out on the hill for the No. 15 Tigers with 11 strikeouts in six innings pitched. Matt Webber was the hero for Herscher in the second game with a game-winning three-run homer.
Hersey 4, Addison Trail 1: Mike Danielak gave up only two hits and struck out eight over five innings for Hersey.
Hinsdale South 4, Shepard 2: Sean Beeseley drove in two runs with a double and Emmanuel Morris (1-0) scattered four hits and struck out eight to earn the win for the Hornets (2-0).
Homewood-Flossmoor 10, Richards 5: Sean Chamberlain (2-for-2, home run, four RBI) paced the Vikings' offense. Danny Leach tossed a two-hitter and fanned 10 for the win.
Marist 6, Lincoln-Way East 5: John McKevitt smacked two doubles and drove in three runs in the RedHawks' (4-0) victory. Cody Bohanek struck out five over five innnings for the win.
Mount Carmel 12, Highland Park 0: T.J. Laurisch dominated the game with a 5-for-5 effort at the plate and a three-hit win on the mound for the No.5 Caravan (5-0). Dan Pappas finished 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI.
Nazareth 5, Kenwood 2: Ed Gengo struck out seven batters in six innnings of work to record his third win of the season for the Roadrunners (3-0).
Niles North 5, Schurz 0: The Vikings moved to 4-2 on the season as Ari Cone yielded a pair of hits and fanned nine, while Gabe Dwyer finished 2-for-3 with a RBI.
Peotone 8-9, Evergreen Park 5-7: Chris Mundt (2-for-3, three RBI) and Matt Harper (home run) powered Peotone in the opener. Kyle Bataowel threw a one-hitter. In Game Two, Ben Zych was the winning pitcher.
Plainfield Central 7, Lincoln-Way North 6, 10 inn.: Eric DeLoach belted the game-winning homer for Plainfield Central (3-1). Tyler Findley was the winning pitcher allowing an earned run in 4 2/3 innings pitched.
Reed-Custer 5-17, Grant Park 1-7: Ryan Johnson drove in a run and was the victor on the mound for the Comets in the first game. Reed-Custer's offensive explosion in game two was led by Ben Brandolino (2-for-3, 3 RBI).
St. Joseph 9-10, Immaculate Conception 0-0: In addition to the Chargers' hot bats, pitchers Edgar Donato and Ryan Fejt picked up wins in Game 1 and Game 2, respectively, each with five punchouts over five innings of work.
St. Rita 8, Morton 1: Jake Shepski was victorious on the mound for the No.8 Mustangs, striking out five over 4 1/3 innnings pitched.
Streator 3, Yorkville 2: Mike Renner was impressive on the mound, yielding one run and four hits along with two strikeouts as Streator (2-1-1) edged the Foxes.
Wheaton North 8, St. Viator 5: Doug Hayes fanned four over 3 1/3 innings to lead the Falcons (2-1).
