St. Rita's Johnson picks Illinois State

St. Rita guard Terry Johnson gave an oral commitment to Illinois State on Thursday. He'll join another former Mac Irvin Fire player -- Osiris Eldridge -- on the Redbirds.

Hawks' Goro chooses Vanderbilt

Maine South quarterback Charlie Goro, one of the most productive passers in the area last season, gave an oral commitment to Vanderbilt over the weekend. Goro chose Vanderbilt over an offer from Illinois.
