Football: Rolling Meadows’ Jack Milas picks Ball State
Rollig Meadows’ Jack Milas, one of the area’s most accurate and productive quarterbacks last season, has committed to play at Ball State.
Milas completed 66 percent of his passes for 2,670 yards and 29 touchdowns with just eight interceptions in 309 attempts. He helped the Mustangs (6-4) return to the IHSA playoffs after a one-year absence.
“His No. 1 strength is his accuracy,” Rolling Meadows coach Matt Mishler said. “He does a great job of figuring out where to go with the ball.”
Milas’ top targets have graduated, but Mishler expects another solid season from his quarterback. “A lot of it is getting used to new receivers,” the coach said.
Mishler wasn’t surprised to see Milas commit before the season started, once he got the offer from the Mid-American Conference school. “He really liked them,” Mishler said. “They showed the first interest in him and I think he appreciated that.”
