CLASS 4A REGIONAL SEMIFINALS
Lake Park 5, Glenbard West 1: Christian Taughner gave up six hits and struck out seven in a complete-game win for Lake Park.
Schaumburg 4, York 3: Matt Brancato cranked a two-run home run and Pat Bellinger picked up the win for Schaumburg.
Maine West 7, Lane 1: Matt Swanson was the pitcher of record for Maine West.
Loyola 10, Elk Grove 8: Danny Rafferty struck out seven in a complete-game win and Logan Spurlin jacked a two-run homer for the Ramblers.
Libertyville 6, Prospect 5: Nick Coutre drove in the game-winning run and Anthony Mack was 3-for-4 with a home run for Libertyville.
Oak Lawn 11, Argo 1: Bob Kametas was 2-for-3 with a double, five RBI and a run scored.
CLASS 3A REGIONAL SEMIFINALS
Yorkville 7, Morris 1: Brett Assell struck out eight and allowed a run on the way to a complete-game win. Tanner Cook went 2-for-4 with a home run for the Foxes.
Montini 12, Lake View 2: Chris Ligocki was 2-for-2 with a grand slam and five RBI for Montini (20-16).
Little Village 9, Elmwood Park 8: Sophomore center fielder Juan Brizuela ripped a two-run triple, Manny Villegas was 3-for-4 and freshman pitcher Gabriel Torres worked a complete game from the hill to seize the win for Little Village.
Antioch 11, Ridgewood 4: David Meade gave up three earned runs and struck out five in five innings pitched. Adam Warner was 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored for Antioch.
Grayslake North 6, Von Steuben 2: Tom Elias gave up three hits in a complete game. Nick Carmelo was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI while Carl Russell was 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI for Grayslake North.
Rich Central 8, Tinley Park 5: Brandon Fowler, Ryan Calvin and Jordan Smith each went yard and Howard Owens-Dugger recorded the win for Rich Central.
