Providence 10, Joliet West 0: Zak Kutsulis (6-2) struck out five and gave up one hit in five innings pitched for No. 1 Providence (25-6). Ryan Koziol had one home run and four RBI, and Sam Tidaback and Brady Wilkin had two home runs apiece to power the offense.

Lincoln-Way North 4, Lincoln-Way Central 3: Bo Venezio (1-2) earned the win for No. 4 Lincoln-Way North (28-5). Reed Hero helped out with one run scored.

Andrew 4, Downers South 0: Marcus Radz (4-3) had eight strikeouts and gave up two hits in a complete game for Andrew (22-9). Justin Rzeszusko and Ryan Supple were each 2-for-3.

Brother Rice 2, Lockport 1: Garrett O'Neill (5-4) picked up the win for Brother Rice (20-13), and Kevin Biondic and Kevin McDonnell had one RBI each.

Glenbrook North 8, Deerfield 0: Peter Resnick (8-2) had 10 strikeouts, two walks and gave up three hits in a complete game for Glenbrook North (23-10). David Nyren led the offense going 2-for-3 and finishing with five RBI.

Homewood-Flossmoor 8, Oak Forest 6: Danny Lietz struck out 15 in six innings to carry Homewood-Flossmoor.

King 11, Austin 1: Kevin White was 2-for-3 with three RBI for King in the rout.

Niles North 7, Maine East 6: Clark Fox was 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, and Anthony Sanchez was 3-for-4 with one RBI and two stolen bases for Niles North (16-18).

Notre Dame 3, St. Viator 1: Keenan Connelly was the winning pitcher for Notre Dame.

Oswego 2, Oswego East 1: Jerome Minick had nine strikeouts in a complete game for Oswego. Bryce Holm had one RBI and Jose Camacho had a triple to help squeak out the win.

Rich East 6, Bloom 4: Nick Bates was 2-for-3 with one RBI, and Darrius Gilbert and Herb Davis had one triple and one RBI each in the win for Rich East.

Sandburg 10, Shepard 2: Mike Levigne had six strikeouts in four innings of work to nab the win for Sandburg (22-6). Mike Imrie was 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Schaumburg 6, Prospect 0: Pat Bellinger had seven strikeouts in five innings pitched for Schaumburg. Kedrick Daley added two RBI.

Stevenson 12, Wauconda 2: Scotty Irving struck out five and gave up seven hits in the win for Stevenson (19-12).

PUBLIC LEAGUE PLAYOFFS

Foreman 10, Hyde Park 0: Gilbert Huergas was 4-for-4 with two RBI in the Foreman shutout win.

Kelly 7, Longwood 5: A.J. Segura had eight strikeouts in a complete game for Kelly (8-14). Gerardo Sanchez (1-for-3, two RBI) and Alberto Moreno (two RBI) led the offensive attack.

HERSCHER

Herscher 6, Bishop McNamara 3: Evan Regez was 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI in the win for Herscher (29-7).

Lisle 5, Westmont 1: Jared Jayne struck out 11 in a complete game, and Kevin Coppin had a triple and two RBI to lead the way for Lisle.
