Providence 8, Loyola 2: Sam Tidaback had three RBI and Dylan Rosa had two RBI for No. 2 Providence (24-6, 14-2 Catholic Blue). Kyle Crawford pitched five innings to pick up the win.
Barrington 3, Lake Forest 1: Winning pitcher Dylan Balogh allowed a run and three hits over six innings for the Broncos. Ryan Lidge (2-for-3) and Frank Waliczek (RBI) led the offense.
Brother Rice 3, St. Laurence 1: Wendell Ferguson belted a two-run homer to trigger the Crusaders’ upset win over top-ranked St. Laurence. Brian McQuillan also drove in a run for the Crusaders.
Elgin 3-1, St. Charles North 1-2: Alex Doty threw a masterpiece in the opener, allowing one hit and striking out five for Elgin.
Glenbrook South 4, Maine East 0: Kyle Pauly struck out 11 and gave up just three hits in a complete game victory.
Hales 11, Leo 2: Tim Robertson was 3-for-4 with three RBI, Teddy Holliday was 3-for-3 with two RBI and Terrence Riley was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Hales (11-12).
Herscher 10, Manteno 3: Jim Brandt (6-0) went the distance with a six-hitter and fanned three hitters. Logan Orr went 3-for-3 with two RBI.
Hersey 7-7, Clemente 1-0: In the first contest Pat Nix allowed four hits on the way to a complete game. Brad Moore struck out nine en route to a one-hitter in Game 2.
Highland Park 7, Evanston 4: Max Mordini threw a complete game, giving up six hits while striking out five. Daniel Oversen was 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored for Highland Park (15-16, 8-6 Central Suburban North).
IMSA 4-2, Christian Liberty 3-0: John Hendrick scattered four hits to earn the Game 1 win and Neil Patel went 3-for-3 with a run scored and three steals. In Game 2, Sam Kaufman threw a complete-game three-hitter.
Lane 3, Grant 0: Marcus Mason was 2-for-2 with the game-winning RBI for Lane (17-12).
Lockport 13, Stevenson 7: Austin Mastela paced the Porters (20-11) with seven RBI to overwhelm the Patriots.
New Trier 1, Niles North 0: Grant Stern dominated the Vikings with a complete-game eight-hitter while striking out five.
Reavis 2, Evergreen Park 0: Zack Mackowiak gave up three hits and fanned three as the Rams edged Evergreen Park.
Stagg 6, Oak Lawn 3: Kyle Belluomini (5-3) had a solid outing from both sides of the field, pitching a complete game and going 3-for-3 from the plate with a two-run home run in the Stagg (14-16) win.
Willowbrook 3-8, Leyden 0-2: Winning pitcher Alex Tiberi threw a one-hit gem in the opener. Dave Cericola struck out eight in a complete game win to secure the sweep for Wilowbrook (18-15, 10-7 West Suburban Gold).
