Providence 8, St. Rita 0: The No. 5 Celtics (17-6, 8-2 Catholic Blue) shut out St. Rita as David Hearne (3-1) threw a complete game allowing two hits and striking out six. Zak Kutsulis and Dylan Rosa each hit two RBI.
Argo 11, Rich South 2: Dustin Krob dominated Rich South with 11 strikeouts and only two hits allowed to claim the win. Alex Topps smashed a three-run homer and drove in three runs for the Argonauts.
Cary-Grove 8, Jacobs 1: Matthew Dunlap (3-2) tossed a complete game, giving up five hits and striking out eight. Andrew Brierton was 2-for-4 with a double and RBI while Daniel Validaro was 2-for-4 in the Cary-Grove (18-7, 10-1 Fox Valley Valley) win.
St. Joseph 1, Fenwick 0: Stephen Scassa pitched a complete game for the Chargers (16-10, 4-7 Catholic White), giving up a hit and striking out five. Sean Holas hit the game-winning RBI.
T.F. South 8, Thornwood 1: Cody Hutchinson (4-0) went all seven innings, striking out five while allowing just three hits. Justin Pasko was perfect from the plate, going 3-for-3 with a triple, double, three runs scored, and two stolen bases.
