Mount Carmel 7, Brother Rice 4: Caravan ace TJ Laurisch (8-0) tossed a complete game while Justin Sanchez (2-for-4, three RBI) and Tom Hayes (1-4, RBI) sparked the No. 1 Mount Carmel (21-0, 7-0) offense.
Nazareth 1, St. Joseph 0: Marc Parrone was 1-for-1, scoring the game's only run for the No. 11 Roadrunners (18-1). Kyle Piotrowski (3-0) spent four innings on the mound and gave up three hits for the win.
Glenbrook South 6, Prospect 5, 11 inn.: Max Cohen was 2-for-4 with the game-winning RBI and Kyle Pauly (3-1) picked up the 'W' for No. 14 Glenbrook South (13-5).
Maine South 7, Elk Grove 3: Kyle Richardson was 2-for-4 with a home run, an RBI and two runs scored while Nick Mitrovich was 2-for-4 with two RBI to lift the No. 20 Hawks (15-3). Pitcher Mike Virgilio (4-0) went five innings, giving up four hits and fanning five.
Addison Trail 3-8, Downers South 1-4: Mike Imperiale went six 2/3 innings, giving up an earned run and five hits. Greg Shultz logged the save and went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Game 1. Schultz took to the mound again in Game 2, giving up two earned runs on five hits while striking out seven on the way to a complete-game win. Anthony Catanese was 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored in the second contest for Addison Trail (13-7, 7-1 West Suburban Gold).
Barrington 6, Jones 3: JC Shattuck was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Frank Waliczek was 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI to boost Barrington (14-6). Dylan Balogh threw six innings and gave up three earned runs on three hits while striking out nine to pick up the win.
De La Salle 7, Bishop McNamara 3: Tony Valdez went 2-3 with two RBI, Kevin Malec was 3-for-3 with two RBI and Anthony Shimkus was 2-for-4 with a homer for De La Salle (12-8). Ricardo Ramirez recorded the win for the Meteors.
Elgin 2-2, Streamwood 0-0: Winning pitcher Ryan Sitter (2-3) gave up just three hits to silence Streamwood in Game 1. Alex Doty (2-3) went the distance and struck out nine in Game 2 for Elgin (6-13).
Farragut 8, Phoneix 6: Raul Mandujno was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for the Admirals.
Glenbrook North 4, Fremd 0: Doug Mazewski was 2-for-3 with two runs for Glenbrook North (14-7). Pitcher Peter Resnick struck out eight in a one-hit, complete-game shutout for the Titans.
Herscher 4, Paxton Buckley Loda 2: Jim Brandt (4-0) registered the win for Herscher (20-4).
Hersey 4, Maine West 3: Erik Stoltzner was 4-for-4 with two RBI as Hersey headed to 13-4 for the year.
Hinsdale South 3-13, Hinsdale Central 1-0, game one 8 innings: Mike Marrera allowed one run and picked up the win for the Hornets in Game 1. Emmanuel Morris was 3-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored in Game 2.
Leo 5-8, Seton 4-10: Phillip Byrd (8-3) earned the win from the mound but it was James Beamon who drove in the game-winning run from the plate for Leo (13-11).
Leyden 10-10, Morton 1-5: Angel Sanchez struck out eight and threw a one-hitter in Game 1, driving in two runs while at bat to lead the Eagles. Brennan Chillemi was 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead Leyden (10-8) in Game 2.
Morgan Park 6, Clemente 3: Pitcher Rahman Williams (4-0) struck out five in the win for the Mustangs. Marcellus Sneed was 1-for-4 with an RBI and James Davison was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base while Lavar Reed went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Morgan Park (18-5).
New Trier 6, Barrington 3: Chris Hall drove in the game-winning run and Josh Perlmutter cranked a homer to lead the Trevian offense.
New Trier 10, Jones 0: Josh Perlmutter blasted a three-run home run to incite the New Trier (11-5) offense. Nick Hedge moved to 6-0 after recording the win for the Trevians.
Oak Lawn 9, Simeon 0: Winning pitcher Nick Mozwecz (4-2) went the distance giving up just two hits with 12 strikeouts. Kyle Smith (3-for-4, double, RBI) and Bob Kametus (3-for-4, two doubles, RBI) paced the Oak Lawn (13-6) offense.
Ottawa 7, Sandwich 3: Tabor Griglioni was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Brandon Wheeler was 2-for-3 with three RBI for Ottawa.
Reavis 4, Bolingbrook 1: Jake Stano struck out 10 Bolingbrook batters en route to a complete-game win for Reavis (8-14).
Robeson 13, Hyde Park 8: Anthony Stevenson was 3-for-4 with three RBI and Darrell Sims was 3-for-4 with RBI and four runs scored in the Robeson (6-5, 2-2 Carlton Fisk) win.
St. Rita 13, Loyola 3: Connor McClain belted a pair of home runs and knocked in three runs, while Zack Soria added a triple and two RBI and Rick Saron finished 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI for the Mustangs (14-5, 6-1 Catholic Blue). Starting pitcher Billy Henry earned the win to improve to 5-0 this season.
Stevenson 7, Rolling Meadows 3: Joe Savarise was 2-for-4 and Steve Galanopoulos was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Stevenson (12-6). Pitcher Jordan Sheinkop tallied eight K's as well as the 'W' for the Patriots.
TEAM Englewood 5, Urban Prep-Englewood 2: DeAngelo Rocquemore fanned 20 batters to earn the win for the Eagles (4-6). Cam Slater led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
T.F. North 5, Harlan 4: Francisco Galvan was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI for T.F. North (9-13).
Von Steuben 6, Evanston 2: Jason Varilla was the winning pitcher for Von Steuben.
Wheaton North 3, Riverside-Brookfield 2: Pitcher Justin Harrington (3-1) struck out seven in a complete-game win and Ryan Kent went 3-for-4 with a run scored for Wheaton North (13-6).
