Mount Carmel 2, De La Salle 1: Jason Gasser (4-0) had three strikeouts and one walk, and gave up two hits and one run in a complete game to keep No.1 Mount Carmel (18-0, 6-0 Catholic Blue) undefeated. Frank Kelly supplied the game-winning RBI.

St. Laurence 13, St. Joseph 1: Zach Lewis (5-0) had five strikeouts and gave up one hit in four innings to earn the win for No. 2 St. Laurence (19-1, 6-0 Catholic Blue). Mike Solofar was 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, and Brandon Mallder was 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI to help out in the rout.

Mundelein 7, Warren 0: Matt Langlie (5-1) had nine strikeouts and four hits in a complete game effort for No. 7 Mundelein (18-2, 6-0 North Suburban Lake). Torr Randau (2-for-3, one double), Brian Wiener (2-for-3, one home run) and Will Farmer (1-for-2, three-run triple) pushed the offense.

Nazareth 3, Wheaton Academy 1: Ed Jengo (4-1) had five strikeouts in six and one-third innings pitched, and Sean Maloney was 2-for-3 with one run scored to lead No. 11 Nazareth (16-1).

Simeon 11, Curie 0: Shane Brown (4-1) had 15 strikeouts in five innings for No.13 Simeon (13-5, 3-1 Jackie Robinson South).

Brother Rice 9, St. Ignatius 5: Kyle Bernacik pitched five innings to earn the win for Brother Rice (14-5). Sean McGrath (2-for-3, two runs scored) and Brian McQuillan (2-for-3, two RBI) carried the load offensively.

Buffalo Grove 3, Hersey 0: Jeremy Berger (4-0) struck out two and gave up four hits in a complete game effort. Erich Froemming the way on offense with a two-run triple.

Elk Grove 10, Wheeling 0: Jack Czeszewski picked up the win, pitching two hitless innings. Jake Andrew pitched two pitched two innings, giving up zero hits, and Mike Woods contributed an inning of hitless work, as well. Mike Anciulis sparked the offense going 2-for-3 with two doubles and six RBI.

Elmwood Park 2, Riverside-Brookfield 1: David Lipszko pitched a complete game and gave up one earned run to pick up the win for Elmwood Park. Mike Tinajero (one double) and Jim Filbin (one RBI) supplied the offense.

Glenbard South 13, Andrew 3: Doren Blake (4-for-5, one home run, four RBI) had a strong day behing the plate to lead Glenbard South.

Hales 4, St. Francis de Sales 2: Johnathan Tolar-Garay struck out five and gave up five hits in a complete game for Hales (10-6, 2-0 Catholic White), and was 1-for-2 with and RBI to help himself out.

Holy Trinity 13, St. Benedict 1: Ivan Silva ignited Holy Trinity (10-6, 6-0 Chicago Prep), going 4-for-5, with one home run and five RBI.

Illiana Christian 6, Timothy Christian 3: Jordan Davis was 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI for Illiana Christian (13-5).

Illinois Lutheran 17, Grant Park 6: Dylan Kish was 3-for-4 with one double and two runs scored.

Kenwood 8, Jones 1: Joea Ferrell had nine strikeouts in a complete game effort for Kenwood (7-9, 2-2 Jackie Robinson South). He also had one home run, while DJ Langston was 4-for-4 with two RBI.

King 13, Fenger 5: Brandon Halbert (3-2) had 11 strikeouts and gave up five hits in a complete game for King (10-5, 2-2 Ernie Banks). Tyler Dorsey (1-for-3, three-run homer), Kendall Harris (2-for-2, three RBI, three runs scored) and Stacey Embry (2-for-2, three-run triple)carried the load on offense.

Lake Forest 8, Zion-Benton 3: Luke Turelli (2-1) struck out six, surrendering four hits and one earned run in five innings pitched to earn the win for Lake Forest (8-8, 2-2 North Suburban Lake). Zach Lucas (3-for-4, two doubles, two RBI, two runs scored) and Matt Lawrence (2-for-4, two RBI) led the offensive attack.

Lane 3, Taft 1: Jack McLaughlin (3-4) had four strikeouts, giving up three hits and one earned run in six innings of work en route to picking up the win for Lane (8-9, 5-0 Jackie Robinson North). Alex Sheehan had a two-run triple to spark the offensive attack.

Lemont 10, Hillcrest 0: Jake Latz (1-for-2, one home run, three RBI) and Jeff Worsech (2-for-2, one home run, one RBI) helped Lemont (9-7) cruise.

Loyola 6, Bishop McNamara 2: J.T. Trimble struck out five and gave up six hits en route to earning the win for Loyola (8-13, 5-1 Catholic Blue). He was also 2-for-4 with one double, while Logan Spurlin was 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI to carry the offense.

Manteno 14, Clifton Central 0: Jack Liss had four strikeouts in five innings, in addition to a grand slam, to lead Manteno. Jason Morgan (3-for-4, four RBI, four runs scored) and Mark Reardanz (4-for-5, three RBI, two runs scored) helped out, as well.

Minooka 8, Oswego East 0: Josh Jimenez had 10 strikeouts in a complete game, and TJ Condon was 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI to push Minooka.

Naperville North 10, WW South 2: Kevin Walsh (1-0) gave up six hits in a complete game for Naperville North (6-11). Alex Moss had a two-run homer, and Connor Adamski and Pat Molo had one home run apiece.

New Trier 7, Stevenson 2: Josh Perlmutter was 2-for-3 with two homers and four RBI to carry New Trier.

North Lawndale 6, Steinmetz 5: Reuben Reed had eight strikeouts in a complete game for North Lawndale (8-3, 2-2 Jackie Robinson Central). Jalen Smith helped out with two RBI.

Providence 7, Gordon Tech 0: Brandy Wilkin (2-0) struck out 10 in six innings pitched to pick up the win for Providence (13-4, 5-0 Catholic Blue). He gave up six hits and one walk, and had one home run himself. Dylan Ross added three RBI, as well.

St. Rita 12, Fenwick 2: Mike Costanzo (5-1) had three strikeouts and gave up two hits and zero earned runs in six innings of work for St. Rita (13-5, 5-1 Catholic Blue).

Schurz 3, Foreman 1: Roberto Prado struck out 15, giving up two hits and one earned run in a complete game for Schurz (8-7, 5-0 Jackie Robinson Central).

Urban Prep-West 23, Clark 6: Ronald Weaver (1-0) struck out three in a complete game for Urban Prep-West (6-1, 3-0 Double Duty). Malik Savage (3-for-4, three RBI) and Pravion Winding (2-for-4, two-run home run) led the offensive attack.

Washington 9, Ag. Science 1: Augestin Guerrero (3-0) pitched a 14 strikeout one-hitter for Washington (15-5, 6-0 Ernie Banks) and went the distance. He was also 2-for-4 with one RBI and three runs scored, while Jesse Lopez was 1-for-3 with two runs scored.
