Andrew 9-0, Leyden 0-5: Sammi Caputo tossed a two-hit complete game for No. 14 Leyden (12-4).

Chicago Christian 6, Wheaton Academy 2: Winning pitcher Becky DeRuiter went the distance allowing no earned runs and no walks along with eight strikeouts for Chicago Christian (11-7, 5-2 Suburban Christian Blue). She also hit well with a pair of solo home run shots. Megan Glynn added a two-run homer for the victors.

Conant 12-16, Stevenson 2-4: Miranda Cavin exploded in Game 1 for three homers and eight RBI as No. 7 Conant coasted past the Patriots. Briana Cavin took over in Game 2 with a home run, triple, four RBI and four runs scored.

Curie 9, Washington 6: Mia Melendez (3-1) allowed thee hits and no earned runs in four innings for the win, while also hitting 2-for-4 with a run. Jaquelyn Matias (3-for-4, home run, four RBI, three runs, two stolen bases) and Jordan Lara (2-for-4, home run, two RBI) dominated the action offensively.

Evergreen Park 4, Homewood-Flossmoor 3: Michelle Putlak (9-3) fanned six to notch the win. Jenna Hase finished 2-for-3, with two RBI, two runs and two stolen bases. Chelsea Christopher drove in two runs.

Fremd 8-11, Cary-Grove 2-1: The No. 12 Vikings (14-3) cruised to a sweep as Caitlin Patenaude went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the opener. Brittany Ciura (3-for-4, home run, four RBI) and Megan Hubbard (2-for-3, two RBI, two runs) starred offensively in the nightcap.

Glenbard North 8, Glenbard South 4: Winning pitcher Lilly Fecho (8-0) remained perfect this spring helping her own cause with a 2-for-4 effort at the plate. Ashley Stiver was 4-for-4 knocking in three runs and scoring twice, while Alex Caliva finished 2-for-3, drove in two runs, scored once and had a stolen base.

Hope Academy 11, Cristo Rey 10: Jordan Kowaluk hit a homer and Janae Durr cranked a grand slam for Hope Academy (1-2, 1-0 Chicago Prep). Winning pitcher Cynthia Olivarez had eight strikeouts in the close win.

Kennedy 1, Jones 0, 8 innings: Yamara Rodriguez scattered four hits and struck out 13 to hold Jones scoreless. With the win, Kennedy improves to 7-2, 5-0 in the Red-South on the season.

Lincoln-Way North 8, Lemont 1: Pitcher Kirsten Iversen threw a complete-game win and went 2-for-3 fome the plate, with a double and stolen base. Jill Galich was 2-for-4 with a home run, double and three RBI.

Montini 11, Mt. Assisi 0: Morganne Evans was 2-for-2 and Emily Barg was 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for Montini (9-7).

Waubonsie Valley 9-9, West Chicago 8-6: Amanda Minahan went yard with a runner aboard and Amanda Lack drove in three runs to key the Game 1 win of a Waubonsie Valley (11-4) sweep.

WW South 2-4, Glenbard West 1-6, Game 1 10 inn., Game 2 11 inn.: The Hilltopers salvaged split as Taylor Langtry was masterful in Game in a complete-game, 11-strikeout win.

York 10-6, Prospect 1-3: Tessa Kroll threw a three-hit complete game, giving up one earned and striking out eight in Game 1 of the doubeheader.
