Lincoln-Way North 15, Thornton 6: Winning pitcher Josh Reid (3-0) hit a homer while Josh Handzik and Alex Newfield each finished the evening with three RBI for No.12 Lincoln-Way North (11-4).

Hersey 5, Fremd 2: Dave Milligan was 3-for-3 with an RBI for No.19 Hersey (11-1, 3-0 Mid-Suburban East). Pitcher Mike Danielak brought his record to 4-0 after throwing a complete game.

Addison Trail 10, Wheaton North 9: Greg Schultz was 3-for-4 with four RBI, including the game-winner for Addison Trail (8-6).

Ag. Science 15, Linblom 4: Prince DeMarco went 3-for-4, knocking in a total of five RBI on the afternoon while Zack Sapolski-Reed went 3-for-5 in the Ag. Science (13-4-1) win.

Antioch 5, Libertyville 1: David Meade threw a four-hit complete game, striking out 12 along the way for Antioch (7-3).

Barrington 9, Buffalo Grove 6: Ryan Lidge was 4-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored. Frank Waliczek was 3-for-3 with a double an RBI and two runs scored for Barrington (11-3, 3-0 Mid Suburban League).

Bowen 13, Fenger 12: Winning pitcher Andre King fanned five from the mound and went 3-for-3 from the plate, driving in two runs and scoring two as well. Antwon Mickels was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored while Jesus Ortiz was 2-for-3 with three runs scored for Bowen (4-7-1, 1-2 Ernie Banks).

Cary-Grove 17, Woodstock North 5: Matt Dunlap (2-1) pitched 5 2/3 innings, gave up five hits and struck out eight. Jeremy Vasquez was 1-for-2 with a two-run homer and Nick Beyer was 1-for-2 with a home run and four RBI in the Cary-Grove (9-6, 3-0 Fox Valley Valley) win.

Elk Grove 9, Conant 2: Jack Czeszewski allowed two earned runs on eight hits in 6 2/3 innings pitched to get the win for the Grenadiers. Patrick O’Malley was 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored.

Glenbard West 7-4, York 1-10: Ryan Kavanaugh was 3-for-4 with a home run and Will Simoneit was 3-for-4 with a run scored in Game 1 for Glenbard West (11-6).

Harlan 12, Curie 6: Tyler Johnson was 4-for-5 with a home run and four RBI and Jerome McKinney was 4-for-5 with a triple, double and four RBI for Harlan (11-6, 3-0 Jackie Robinson South).

Herscher 7, Coal City 3: Tiger ace Justin Ruckman (16-4) tossed another complete-game win, giving up just four hits while striking out 10. Ruckman also jacked a two-run homer while at the plate as Herscher moved to 16-4.

Huntley 3, Aurora Christian 2, 8 inn.: Brandon Kirk knocked in the game-winning run for Huntley (9-5).

Lake Forest 14, Vernon Hills 2: Sam Templeman was 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. Brandon Moccia cranked a three-run home run that helped Lake Forest (4-8) topple Vernon Hills.

Lane 5, Lake View 1: Jack McLaughlin (3-4) went the distance on the mound, allowing just one earned run on six hits while striking out 10. Cody Davis was 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. Rick Hernandez added two RBI for Lane (6-9, 3-0 Jackie Robinson North).

Lincoln-Way West 12, Thornridge 1: Ryan Novak blew away 12 Thornridge batters in four innings work to earn his first win of the spring. Ryan Clavenna was 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and Dan Brokop was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run.

Lisle 6, Westminster Christian 3: Kevin Coppin went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI while Parker Murray was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Lisle.

Lockport 2, Lincoln-Way East 0: Winning pitcher Evan Martens (2-2) struck out five and allowed four hits in a complete-game win for Lockport (9-5, 1-1 SouthWest Suburban Blue).

Manteno 16, Seneca 6: Manteno (18-1, 3-1 Interstate Eight) was led Kevin Sloat, who went 4-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored.

Morgan Park 21, Young 11: Reginald Rogers was 3-for-5 with three RBI and Michael Hudson was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI for Morgan Park (12-5, 1-2 Jackie Robinson South). Rahman Williams (3-0) went five innings, fanned seven, went 4-for-5 from the plate and drove in three runs.

Rich Central 11, Illinois Lutheran 1: Pitcher David Dugger (4-0) went five innings and recorded the win for Rich Central (12-7). Matt Cole was 3-for-4 with two RBI and Ryan Calvin was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Sandburg 10, Joliet West 0: Zach Reks went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI while Alec Nelson hit a triple and scored a run for Sandburg (10-3, 1-1 SouthWest Suburban Blue). Matt Farrington (2-1) went five innings and gave up just one hit to log the win.

Schaumburg 14, Wheeling 4: Matt Brancato earned the win on the mound and went 2-for-2 from the plate, including a three-run homer. Braden Teele was 3-for-4 with a homer and a total of four RBI in the Schaumburg (10-7) win.

Schurz 7, Steinmetz 2: Johnny Salazar threw five innings, fanned 11 and gave up no earned runs. Xavier Ramos was 3-for-4 at the plate.

Stevenson 11, Grant 1: Scott Irving worked six innings on the hill, allowing three hits and fanning four.

Taft 13, Northside Prep. 3: Melvin Sanchez was 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBI. Ray Cekus was 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two run scored for Taft (17-0, 3-0 Jackie Robinson North). Lorenzo Aguayo was the winning pitcher.

T.F. South 3, T.F. North 0: Mike Broadwell threw a complete-game shutout, allowing three hits and fanning five. Payton Padjen drove in two runs to lead the Rebels at the plate.

Urban Prep-West 16, Douglass 1: Pravione Winding struck out six in five innings pitched. Ben Reed was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI for Urban Prep-West.

Washington 13, Corliss 1: Adrian Luna (2-0) tallied 16 K's in the win. John Perez was 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI for Washington (16-4).

Westmont 15, Reed-Custer 8: Charlie Donovan was 5-for-5, smacking two doubles and scoring four runs. Jean Pietreak was 3-for-3 with two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored.
